Dr. Dietrich Conze is the managing partner of Spherix Consulting group, where he conducts safety evaluations on a variety of consumer products, including ingredients used in conventional foods, dietary supplements, infant formulas, medical foods, novel foods, and functional foods, and provides oversight on product compliance with current and emerging scientific and regulatory guidance. Conze is also responsible for the critical evaluation of scientific literature, design and interpretation of preclinical and clinical studies for food ingredients, dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals, and the preparation of health risk assessments and regulatory compliance dossiers, such as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) dossiers, Food Additive Petitions (FAPs), New Dietary Ingredient Notifications (NDINs), Novel Foods Applications, Investigational New Drug Applications (INDs), and New Drug Applications (NDAs).
